Granite Chin Promotions are rolling out the “Granite Chin Box Off” – a one-night, old-school style super middleweight tournament. The action’s going down at Quincy Youth Arena, dubbed “Rumble at the Rink” for the night.

Four of New England’s most hard-hitting super middleweights will throw down in three-round battles early on. If any scrap ends in a stalemate, they’re ready to go a sudden death fourth round to sort it out. Winners of these initial tussles will step into a five-round main event. And if that’s not enough to crown a champ, they’ll throw in a sixth-round tiebreaker.

Chris Traietti, the brain behind GCP, shared, “This tourney’s been on my mind since 2021. Took a bit to iron out the kinks and find the right fighters. But we’re set now. Each bout’s guaranteed to be a barn burner from the get-go.”

Let’s size up the contenders:

James “Pitbull” Perkins (13-1-1, 9 KOs) – Hailing from Lynn, MA, Perkins digs graves by day but is no stranger to burying his competition in the ring. Despite a recent hiccup in his record, he’s tipped as the one to watch.

Anthony “The Gentle Savage” Andreozzi (5-3, 2 KOs) – Out of Swansea, MA, this ex-Massachusetts Middleweight Champion is back with a bang after a leg injury. With a rich background in wrestling and karate, he’s ready for the double-duty fight night.

Bernard Joseph (6-1, 4 KOs) – A Dorchester, MA native, Joseph’s riding a winning streak into the tournament. With a fighting frequency that’s kept him sharp, he’s eyeing the top spot with confidence.

Ryan Clark (4-5, 2 KOs) – From Barrington, ME, Clark’s stepping up in weight for this challenge. Don’t let his record fool you; he’s got the heart and the grit to stand tall against the heavier hitters.
