Beatriz Ferreira, the Brazilian dynamo with an amateur pedigree and a flawless 4-0 record in the pro ranks, is set to clash with Argentina’s own Yanina del Carmen Lescano for the vacant IBF Lightweight World Title. This thrilling showdown is scheduled to light up the Exhibition Centre Liverpool, and fans worldwide can catch the action live on DAZN.
Ferreira, also known as ‘The Beast’, boasts a commendable Olympic Silver from Tokyo 2020 and has inked a deal with Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing. With a pro debut that turned heads in Cleveland, she’s now eyeing global dominance, starting with a World Title in her fifth outing. Her return to British soil follows a convincing victory over Karla Ramos Zamora last July in Sheffield.
“I’m excited to fight for the World Title in my fifth bout,” Ferreira remarked. “It baffles me that some ducked this challenge, but Lescano stepped up. She’s no walkover, and I’m gearing up to dazzle Liverpool and march into Paris as both a pro and amateur World Champion. After snagging Silver in Tokyo, I’m all in to swap it for Gold in Paris.”
Also on the card, Sunderland’s welterweight sensation Pat McCormack is back after a year, taking on Argentina’s William Andres Herrera for the WBA Intercontinental Title. Plus, don’t miss Rotherham’s Junaid Bostan and Southminster’s Jack Martin vying for the English Title, with the Commonwealth Silver Title up for grabs.
