Juan Francisco Estrada, the reigning WBC and Ring Magazine World Super-Flyweight champ, is stepping into the ring to defend his titles against Jesse ‘Bam’ Rodriguez at Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona. Estrada, with a record of 44 wins, 3 losses, and 28 KOs, is making his first defense after barely scraping by Roman ‘Chocolatito’ Gonzalez in their nail-biting showdown last December. It’s 2-1 in favor of Estrada in their epic trilogy, and now he’s facing off against Rodriguez, the young gun who’s already taken down two of the Super-Flyweight kings.
Rodriguez, with an undefeated record of 19 wins, no losses, and 12 KOs, made waves by stopping Sunny Edwards in a brutal ninth-round display last December. Now, the 24-year-old is gunning for another shot at glory against ‘Gallo’ Estrada, the battle-hardened veteran.
