Australian boxing fans got more than they bargained for with a night jam-packed with fistic fireworks at the sixth series of the “Countdown to the Middle East Crown.” The iconic Malvern Town Hall in Malvern, Victoria was buzzing on Friday night, with every seat snatched up by eager fans ready for some thrilling fights.

DJMC’s head honcho, Dunstan Paul Rozairo, put together an electrifying lineup that did more than just rock the ring. This bash wasn’t just about the blows; it was a fundraiser with heart, helping out retired boxers who’ve taken their licks in the ring and are now facing tough times. A big-hearted auction was the cherry on top, with proceeds going to this noble cause.

The fight card was nothing short of spectacular, showcasing a smorgasbord of boxing talent from around the globe. Indian boxing sensation Sarjubala Devi (3-0, 1KO) put on a masterclass, outmaneuvering Thailand’s Ranee Klinratree (2-5, 2KOs) over four rounds. Devi was in a league of her own, not dropping a single round.

Another showstopper was Urvashi Singh (11-3, 6KO’s) from India. She dominated the super bantamweight bout, leaving Thailand’s Thanchanok Phanan (16-9, 9 KO’s) in the dust over 10 rounds.

The night was stacked with seven pro fights, including a special WBC Cares exhibition match that added some extra sizzle to the event.

Local welterweight hero Jason Mallia (7-0, 4KOs) proved too much for the sturdy Fijian Ronald Naidu (12-10-3, 5KOs). Naidu couldn’t make it back to the ring for round two of their six-rounder, showing Mallia’s sheer power.

Jyl Wright (6-1-1, 3KOs) from Warrnambool claimed the Victorian state welterweight title, taking down Brisbane’s former national champ Kieran Cronin (7-4-1, 3KOs) with a third-round TKO.

Jake Clague (5-0, 4KOs) kept his record shiny, steamrolling Masing Warawara (6-4, 1KO) of Vanuatu in round two of their lightweight tussle.

In the lightweight division, Jye Lane Taylor (4-2, 2KOs) brought down the curtain on Avikas Manhana (4-4-1, 4KOs) with a fourth-round TKO in their six-round fight.

Former Australian junior middleweight champ Victor Nagbe (6-1, 1KO) showed off his skills, handing Kittisak Klinson (4-1, 3KOs) his first defeat with a third-round knockout in their middleweight face-off.

The WBC Cares charity bout added a dash of glitz, pitting boxing dynamo KS Vinod against the undefeated wrestling giant Shobi Joy.

The night was a slam dunk for both the promoters and fans, with Rozairo hinting at more action-packed events down under. “The crowd’s energy was electric, and we can’t wait to bring more brawls back to Australia,” he said.
