The undisputed middleweight queen, the boxing sensation that is Claressa Shields, just received some major praise at the Hall of Fame. She’s been dubbed the “Individual Sportswoman of the Year” by the esteemed Women’s Sports Foundation. Not to mention, she got some love from the World Boxing Organization during their annual bash. A spectacular evening, right at the heart of New York City – Cipriani Wall Street.

Claressa is not just any boxer. She’s the record-breaking sensation who’s grabbed all four major boxing titles in two weight divisions. And if that ain’t impressive, I don’t know what is. By snagging this Women’s Sports Foundation award, she’s marked history by being the only woman to grab this title three times. Talk about setting the bar high!

Shields, in all her modesty, says, “Recognition for the hard work feels good. I’ve done something nobody else has, and it’s about time women got the respect they deserve in the ring. A big shoutout to the Women’s Sports Foundation and WBO for this.”

Our girl, a two-time Olympic boxing champ, got awarded in the individual division. And let’s not forget about the brilliant Natalie Schneider, a force to be reckoned with in basketball, who clinched the prize in the team division.

Claressa’s week was sprinkled with gold. Over at Punta Cana, she was showered with accolades at the WBO convention. They gifted her a portrait and a shiny gold plaque to appreciate the milestones she’s achieved. All hail the queen of 154 and 160 pounds! Now, Dmitriy Salita, her trusted promoter and the man who’s seen her rise, witnessed both these heartwarming ceremonies. He couldn’t help but beam with pride for the trailblazer that is Claressa. Salita beamed, “Claressa Shields is here to make a mark. It’s not just about boxing; it’s about making sure women get their due.
