VYRE Network, a titan in global streaming, is teaming up with Triad Entertainment Network to kick off a new era in sports broadcasting. This collaboration will bring live sports events, TV series, documentaries, and movies, starting with the groundbreaking HBCU Boxing League, spearheaded by boxing legend James “Lights Out” Toney.

The league is a beacon for former champions, opening doors in college boxing like never before. With boxing greats like Roy Foreman and Lamon Brewster at the helm, the initiative offers these warriors a chance to shape the next generation, while securing a safety net of benefits previously out of reach.

Set under the USA BOXING umbrella, the league’s first bell rings in September 2024, leading up to a spring showdown for the national titles in 2025. With a plan to roll out at least one rumble a month, the league is set to start with 10 HBCUs, including heavyweights FAMU and Grambling.

BXNG TV will be the exclusive broadcaster, promising to weave the rich tapestry of HBCU sports with the raw adrenaline of boxing. Adam Glenn, BXNG’s chief, sees this as a golden ticket to draw in new fans and provide a platform for athletes to shine.

James Toney views the league as a crucial step in a boxer’s journey beyond the ring. Roy Foreman sees it as a lifeline, not just for the sport but for the champions of yesterday, guiding tomorrow’s leaders. COO Brandon Norman and Commissioner Lamon Brewster echo this sentiment, highlighting the league’s role in offering retired boxers a meaningful post-ring career and the chance to pass on their legacy.

VYRE Network COO, Lamar Seay, sees this alliance as a milestone, not just for the involved parties but for sports as a whole, marrying the legacy of HBCUs and boxing legends in a groundbreaking way.
