Erik Bazinyan, the undefeated super middleweight wrecking machine, and a nightmare for his foes, is gearing up to unleash havoc in the 10-round headline brawl this Thursday, Jan. 25. His dance partner? Argentine tough guy Billi Facundo Godoy, at the famed Casino de Montréal in Montreal, Canada.
Sharing the spotlight, in the 10-round light heavyweight clash, is the unbeaten Venezuelan slugger Alberto Ramirez, ready to trade leather with the Ukrainian powerhouse, Artur Ziyatdinov.
Brought to you by Eye of The Tiger, the Bazinyan-Godoy and Ramirez-Ziyatdinov showdown, along with a buffet of undercard scuffles, will be blasting live and exclusively in the U.S. on ESPN+ at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT.
Bazinyan (31-0, 22 KOs), a seasoned pro for a decade, has been terrorizing the Canadian rings since his departure from Armenia at 16. His U.S. debut saw him schooling Alan Campa in May 2019, followed by a brutal third-round knockout of Saul Roman. Last year, Bazinyan handed beatdowns to Alantez Fox and Jose de Jesus Macias, before sending Ronald Ellis packing with a sixth-round TKO in October. Enter Godoy (41-7, 20 KOs), a seasoned warhorse with battles against world title contender John Ryder and world champion Vincenzo Gualtieri. He’s on a quest to stretch his winning run to four.
Ramirez (17-0, 15 KOs) blasted Jacob Dickson in the first round to snatch the WBO Global cruiserweight title last January. Dropping back to light heavyweight, he dished out pain to Ricardo Adrian Luna and Gilbert Castillo Rivera. Meanwhile, Ziyatdinov (15-1, 12 KOs), with only one setback against Gasan Gasanov, is back with a vengeance, stacking up three TKO wins.
