Christopher Luteke, a Sheffield native known for trading blows with Terence Crawford in the gym, is ditching the amateur gloves for a pro career, and Frank Warren’s inked the deal to parade him under the Queensberry flag.

Swapping cruiserweight clout for super middleweight ambitions, the 27-year-old’s amateur tally shines at 60-9. With Steel City Gym as his boxing cradle, Luteke’s notched up a quintet of national titles, double NABC crowns, eight regional victories, and a shiny GB silver to boot. Not forgetting, he donned the gloves for DR Congo at the 2021 World Championships.

Luteke’s buzzing to strut his stuff on the grand stage, aiming to conquer the super middleweight scene. “I’ve rolled with Crawford, and his crew’s practically adopted me,” he quips, hinting at a possible stateside training stint with Bomac should a juicy title tussle come knocking.

Despite kicking off his pro journey a tad later than most, Luteke’s dead set on speeding through the ranks, eyeing a six-rounder debut and a swift snatch at titles like the Southern Area.

Warren’s chuffed to add Luteke to his roster, predicting a swift sail towards title waters for the Sheffield sensation.

In another corner of Warren’s boxing empire, Steven Cairns, the ‘Irish Takeover’, steps into the Queensberry ring with a hefty amateur legacy of 101 wins from 110 bouts. The 21-year-old Cork fighter, now honing his craft under David Coldwell in Rotherham, dreams of rallying his Irish brigade for UK showdowns, promising to dazzle on the telly and under Warren’s wing.

Warren’s all smiles, welcoming Cairns aboard, ready to rocket the young lightweight towards the limelight and, eventually, title glory.
