Sampson Lewkowicz of Sampson Boxing recently declared the acquisition of undefeated super bantamweight standout Bryan “Latino” Acosta, who has inked an exclusive multi-year promotional contract with the company.

Sporting an impeccable record of 20-0 with eight knockouts, Acosta has demonstrated his prowess in the ring as a formidable counterpuncher. Born in the boxing stronghold of Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico, and moving to the U.S. at the age of nine, the 25-year-old turned professional in 2016. His career highlight came in May 2022 when he secured the WBC Continental Americas Featherweight Championship by defeating Benito Sanchez Garcia with a TKO in the tenth round.

One of Acosta’s noteworthy but unofficial victories came earlier this month when he defeated Argentine boxer Alberto “Impacto” Melian in the eighth round for the IBA American Championship, despite the bout not being recognized in his official record due to issues with the AIBA.

“This knockout against Melian has truly opened doors for me, and signing with Sampson is a step in the right direction,” Acosta remarked. “I am thrilled to continue my ascent to the top, now backed by a capable and strategic team.”

Alfredo Caballero, Acosta’s trainer, expressed his optimism about partnering with Sampson Boxing, emphasizing the timing and faith involved in this significant career move. “I am delighted to align with Sampson Boxing,” Caballero said. “I’ve been awaiting the right moment, and I believe now is that time, perfectly aligned by divine timing.”

Sampson Lewkowicz welcomed Acosta with enthusiasm, predicting a bright future for the young boxer. “Bryan Acosta has the potential to become a world champion. He brings an engaging style to the ring that fans adore,” Lewkowicz stated. “I am eager to work with him and his team and am committed to guiding him towards his dream of becoming a world champion.”
