Roy Jones Jr. Boxing To Promote January 25 Fight Card At Legends Casino In Toppenish, Washington

Roy Jones Jr., the boxing legend turned trainer and promoter, is all set to showcase some of his top fighters in a thrilling fight card at Legends Casino, Toppenish, Washington, on January 25, 2024.

Headlining the night, Andrew Murphy, a local hero from Yakima, will step into the ring for a ten-round super middleweight brawl. Sharing the spotlight, German sensation and WBF women’s welterweight champion Ikram Kerwat will feature in the co-main event. Adding to the excitement, lightweight Mandeep Jangra, a decorated former Commonwealth Games and Asian Games Silver Medalist, is also on the bill.

Roy Jones Jr. Boxing is behind the promotion of this event. Tickets are flying off the shelves at $60, $50, and $40, available at Legends Casino Gift Shop or online via Ticketmaster. Doors swing open at 6 pm, with the first fight bell chiming at 7 pm PT.

Murphy (7-0, 5 KOs), now living in Pensacola, Florida, is making his third main event appearance at Legends Casino. The 23-year-old is geared up for another ten-rounder.

Kerwat (13-3, 5 KOs), originally from Tunisia and now calling Frankfurt, Germany, home, turned pro in 2015 post-motherhood. She quickly grabbed titles, including the WBC International lightweight and WBF World welterweight titles. Under Jones since 2017, she’s a force to be reckoned with.

Jangra (6-0, 4 KOs), hailing from Kharian, India, brings a sparkling amateur record, including Silver Medals at the Asian Amateur Boxing Championships and Commonwealth Games. He’s been honing his skills under Jones.

The card also features local boxing talent in a heavyweight clash, a cruiserweight showdown, and a super featherweight scrap, all promising edge-of-your-seat action.
