Giorgio Visioli, the amateur boxing star from Aldershot, is set to make his debut in the professional boxing world, having inked a promising promotional deal with Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing. Visioli, a shining gem from the Repton Boxing Club, is excitedly gearing up for his pro debut scheduled for October.

The 20-year-old, having claimed victories in two Senior ABA Championships in distinct weight categories (60kg and 63.5kg), is hungrier than ever. “Matchroom Boxing is the best promotional company in the world,” Visioli exclaims, reflecting on his long-awaited professional journey and his alliance with Eddie Hearn. His record is impeccable; out of 45 fights, Visioli reigned supreme in 41. Moreover, with a GB Tri-Nations gold medal under his belt and opportunities knocking from GB, the young boxer believes the pro ring is his next rightful battleground.

Visioli fondly reminisces about his time at Repton, where he shared the ring with Maieyrose Courtney, and his achievement as a two-time Senior ABA Champion. Despite the GB spotlight, he chose to skip it, given the exclusion of his weight category from the Olympics.

Eddie Hearn, the Matchroom Sport Chairman, expressed his thrill about the new addition to the Matchroom Boxing team. He shared, “IBF Flyweight king Sunny Edwards hasn’t stopped raving about Giorgio to me.” Hearn is quite bullish on Visioli’s prospects, seeing another potential world champion in him. Hearn’s faith in Visioli stems from the latter’s outstanding performance at the renowned Repton Boxing Club and the myriad titles he garnered there.
