Standing tall at six-foot-five, Goodall’s amateur journey spanned around 90 bouts, with him emerging victorious in nearly 70 of those. His impressive amateur tenure includes a silver medal at the Commonwealth Games, a notable victory over Efe Ajagba, and a narrow loss to Joe Joyce in the finals. His prowess also earned him a bronze at the World Championships, making history as the first Australian heavyweight to clinch this honor. Another feather in his cap is the gold medal from the esteemed Felix Sturm Tournament in Germany, positioning him alongside greats such as Lennox Lewis.
Goodall’s sporting spirit might just be in his DNA. His father was a notable figure in the Australian Football League (AFL). Initially aiming to follow the family legacy, Goodall’s journey took a turn after a hip injury. At 17, boxing beckoned, and he embraced the call. April 2018 saw Goodall step into the professional boxing ring. His entry was nothing short of explosive, securing knockouts in the first round against his initial four opponents.
