All Star Boxing is back in the game with “Panama Fight Night IV” this December 1st, Friday. Get ready for an exciting welterweight showdown featuring WBA #11, WBO #11 Derrieck “Pretty Boy” Cuevas (26-1-1, 18 KO’s) from Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, squaring off against Ecuador’s Marlon “La Furia” Aguas (14-1, 9 KO’s). This 10-round fight is set to sizzle in Panama City, Panama, at Centro de Combates, airing live at 9PM EDT on ESPN+ and ESPN Knockout.

Tuto Zabala Jr, the big boss at All Star Boxing, Inc., seems thrilled about hosting their third event in Panama this year. “It’s been a heck of a ride, watching fighters grow from hopefuls to champs like WBO interim Jr Flyweight titleholder Rene ‘El Chulo’ Santiago,” he says. He’s also got high hopes for Derrieck Cuevas, our welterweight star, who’s apparently itching to end the year with a bang.

Cuevas, a real busy bee in the All Star Boxing team, is gearing up for his fourth fight this year. He’s been on a winning streak, bagging three consecutive knockouts and nabbing the WBA FEDECENTRO title. Cuevas seems confident, thanking his team and hinting at something big in 2024 after his December 1st showdown.

The undercard’s not looking too shabby either, featuring a clash between world-ranked Jr Flyweight contender WBC #10, WBO #13 Azael “Candelilla” Villar (19-2-4, 15 KO’s) of Panama City and former WBA Gold Minimumweight champion Ricardo “Ricky” Astuvilca (23-1, 5 KO’s) from Lima, Peru. Villar, fresh off a controversial draw in August, is dead set on not letting this chance slip by.

Stay tuned for more updates on the undercard. With seven fights in total, the event promises to be exciting. Doors open at 7:00 PM, and the first bell rings at 7:30 PM. All this action is brought to you by All Star Boxing, Inc., in collaboration with Top Rank on ESPN+ & Master Promotions.
