David Avanesyan Returns December 20th In Birmingham

David Avanesyan is jumping back into the ring for the first time since his clash with the WBO world champ, Terrance Crawford. And what better stage than the ‘Fight Before Xmas’ on December 20th at the Eastside Rooms in Birmingham?

It’s been a whole year since Avanesyan tasted the canvas in Omaha, courtesy of Crawford’s fists in the sixth. Now, he’s all set to shake off the dust and get his gloves dirty again, gearing up for a knockout 2024.

Remember when Avanesyan was dodging punches from the division’s tough guys? Well, he landed a big one against the legend, Shane Mosley, back in 2015. Defending his WBA Interim world title, which he snatched from Charlie Navarro six months earlier, Avanesyan turned Mosley’s backyard into his own personal ring, schooling ‘Sugar Shane’ for a unanimous decision win.

Sure, he tripped up in his next rumble, losing a points tussle to Lamont Peterson. But, like a true fighter, Avanesyan crossed the pond, grabbed the European title, and laid waste to Kerman Lejarraga in Bilbao. ‘Ava’ wasn’t done there. He defended that belt five times, handing out beatdowns to Jose Del Rio, Josh Kelly, Liam Taylor, Oskari Metz, and giving Lejarraga a second helping of his fists, before aiming his sights at boxing’s top-dog.

Always on the radar for big fights, Avanesyan’s still a nightmare for any boxer dreaming of glory. The December 20th scrap is your ticket to see one of the division’s baddest up close on an already loaded fight card.

Promoter Errol Johnson’s chipping in his two cents: “David’s a world-class scrapper who’s gone toe-to-toe with the best and trampled over Europe’s top welterweights. We’re buzzing to have him light up Birmingham!”

For those itching to catch the action, grab your tickets for the ‘Fight Before Xmas’. They’re flying off the shelves, so hit up the boxers or shoot an email to info@bcb-promotions.com. Prices are £40 for the cheap seats and £80 for the VIP Ringside.
