Chordale Booker aims to smoke Greg Vendetti on February 3

Chordale  Booker, sitting pretty with a record of 21-1 and a nice collection of 10 KOs, has been soaking up all the chatter from Greg “The Villain” Vendetti, who’s not shy about sharing his two cents on Booker’s carrer. Come February 3rd, these two are set to throw down in the spotlight of CES Boxing’s Winter Brawl 2024, duking it out at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT, with Booker’s WBC US Super Welterweight Championship on the line.

Booker, hailing from Stamford, isn’t one to let Vendetti’s digs slide, especially when Vendetti’s been poking fun at his fighting spirit. “He reckons I’ve got a fragile spirit,” Booker quips, “Well, he’s about to learn the hard way that I’m still gonna whip him, spirit or not, come February 3rd.”

The man’s got a point—Vendetti’s been vocal about doubting Booker’s endurance in the heat of battle. But Booker? He’s not sweating it. He’s been defending his title like a boss and doesn’t buy into Vendetti’s head games. “Keep telling yourself that, buddy,” Booker might as well be saying, “But by the time you’re looking for that lucky punch, I’ll be miles ahead on the scorecards.”

Booker’s not just in this to keep his belt; he’s out to prove a point, fueled by Vendetti’s trash talk. It’s all about showing up and showing off for his hometown crowd, making sure that belt stays right where it belongs.

When it comes to competition, Booker doesn’t play. Chess, boxing, you name it—if you’re stepping up to him, you better be ready to get taken down a notch. “I’m all about the win, no matter the game,” says Booker, ready to back up his words in the ring.

Training since the crack of dawn in December, Booker’s got this fight mapped out in his head, ready to dance around Vendetti, landing shots without taking any. It’s all about staying sharp, staying smart, and letting his skills do the talking as the rounds tick by.

Booker’s strategy? Let Vendetti wear himself out trying to keep up. The plan is to stay elusive, pick his moments, and break Vendetti down, round by round. “He thinks he’s gonna catch me out late in the game?” Booker muses, “Good luck with that. He’ll be too worn out to land anything worth a dime.”

This fight’s got a bit of extra spice, thanks to Vendetti’s manager getting bold after Booker clinched the WBC US title last April. “They wanted this,” Booker reflects, “So it’s on them when I hand Vendetti his ass.”

Despite the back-and-forth, Booker’s done his homework on Vendetti, giving props where due, especially after Vendetti’s run at the WBA Super Welterweight title against Erislandy Lara. But make no mistake, Booker’s not here to play second fiddle. He’s ready to set the record straight, in and out of the ring.

As for Vendetti taking shots at his record, Booker’s not losing any sleep. “Our records might as well be twins,” he jests, “And if we’re talking quality wins, let’s not get carried away. I’ve faced tough cookies, and I’d run circles around any of Vendetti’s past opponents.”

With the fight fast approaching, the talk will soon end, and the gloves will do the talking. Booker’s ready to let his fists prove his point, confident that when the final bell rings, it’ll be Vendetti looking for answers, not him.

“February 3rd will tell the tale,” Booker concludes, “And I plan on telling a damn good story.”
