CES Boxing is thrilled to reveal the signing of the boxing sensation Alejandro “El Abusador” Paulino to a comprehensive multi-year deal. This announcement follows the company’s previous success, having signed the likes of Jamaine Ortiz in the past.
CES Boxing founder, Jimmy Burchfield, Sr., enthusiastically shared, “This is a significant moment for us. Alejandro is a remarkable young talent in the boxing world. His dedication is evident – he’s always training, always striving. We’re looking for fighters with a hunger for success, and he fits the bill perfectly.”
Hailing from New London, Paulino boasts an unbeaten record of 15 wins, 13 of which were knockouts. His recent win at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT, was a swift victory in the very first round. Reflecting on his journey, Paulino said, “After 15 matches, finding quality opponents started becoming a challenge. Partnering with a promoter felt like the next logical step. CES is renowned for hosting grand events in Connecticut, my home state. So, teaming up with them felt right.”
The young boxing star, originally from the Dominican Republic, began his association with CES Boxing from his ninth professional match. Given his meteoric rise, Paulino became one of the industry’s most coveted prospects.
Burchfield, Sr. noted the significance of this partnership, stating, “It’s a privilege that Alejandro and his team chose CES for a long-term collaboration. He’s a phenomenal athlete with a knack for adjusting his strategies, which makes him TV gold. My three-and-a-half decades in this field have equipped me to guide him to global championship heights.”
Dr. Roland Estrada, who manages and trains Paulino, voiced his confidence in CES, trusting them to create the right challenges for Paulino. He remarked, “Jimmy and I have a long-standing working relationship. There’s no promoter in New England achieving what Jimmy has. He’s built a legacy. For anyone aiming to escalate their career, partnering with a promoter of his caliber is a must.”
Dr. Estrada’s association with Paulino dates back to the boxer’s amateur days. Since their first meeting at the ‘Big 6 Boxing Academy’ in Providence, Rhode Island, they’ve been a formidable team. Despite the considerable distance between New London, Connecticut, and Providence, Paulino’s dedication remains unwavering, making the lengthy commute multiple times weekly for training.
Dr. Estrada, also a full-time optometrist, expressed his admiration for Paulino, “His passion and skill set him apart. I anticipate him competing for a US title within the next 12 months. By 2025, a world title should be within his grasp.”
Paulino, now in his third professional year, has maintained a flawless record in 2023, securing 4 knockouts in 4 matches. This partnership sets the stage for more challenging opponents, with at least one more match anticipated before the year concludes.
