An energetic gathering of boxing enthusiasts, proud family members, and the ever-ready media, swarmed the venue, drawn by the promise of exciting news from the legendary boxing promoter Jimmy Burchfield Sr.

As everyone inched closer to the stage, eyes were fixated on Stamford’s own professional pugilists, Chordale ‘The Gift’ Booker and Slawomir Bodhziewicz. The stage also welcomed amateur fighters from New Haven – Chad Dawson Jr. and Troyveon Allen, eager to prove their worth.

A sense of anticipation filled the room as Burchfield Sr. grabbed the microphone. The founder of CES, he was there to share the juicy details of the much-awaited “Summer Heat 2023”. This fantastic boxing spectacle is set to make the ground shake at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT on August 12th.

Burchfield Sr.’s eyes lit up as he announced, “August 12th will be more than just another date on the calendar. It’s going to be an unforgettable boxing bonanza!” He revealed that fans would be treated to a double whammy – an exhilarating night of professional boxing and access to the ‘Jimmy Burchfield Classic Invitational’, a USA Boxing sanctioned amateur showcase, all with a single ticket!

Star of the show, WBC US Super Welterweight champion Booker (19-1, 8 KOs) looked cool and collected. After taking the title home with a 4th round knockout earlier this year, he’s gearing up to face off against Puerto Rico’s Nicolas Hernandez. If Booker scores an impressive victory, and with Jermell Charlo potentially vacating his junior middleweight belts, a shot at the title could be on the horizon.

But the night doesn’t just belong to Booker. Fans will also get to see Jaime ‘The Hurricane’ Clampitt, the former two-division champion now in the Hall-of-Fame. Plus, the event will also serve as a showcase for New England’s most promising talents, including Anthony ‘ATV’ Velasquez, Alejandro Paulino, Angel Gonzalez, and Wilson Mascarenhas.

Polish newcomer Slawomir Bohdziewicz, fresh off a stunning 3rd round knockout in his debut, is another fighter set to command the spotlight. “I’m grateful to Burchfield for this opportunity,” Bohdziewicz said, “I’m here to give my Polish fans a performance they’ll be proud of.”

The buzz will kick off at 4:30pm with the amateur showcase “Jimmy Burchfield’s Classic Invitational”, where top-ranked US Heavyweight Ali Feliz will show off his fighting prowess. The Invitational will also feature Chad Dawson Jr., son of the former 2-time light heavyweight champion, and Troyveon Allen, the new Western New England Golden Gloves champ.

“Summer Heat 2023” is shaping up to be a showstopper, brimming with stellar boxing talent, edge-of-your-seat matches, and unforgettable in-ring dramas. So, grab your tickets before they’re gone. Get ready for a knockout evening!.
