DiBella Entertainment presents “Heroes On The Hudson” on November 7, a fantastic evening honoring the valiant veterans of the United States Armed Forces. And you guessed it! The boxing action isn’t limited to pros. Five amateur fights featuring NYPD officers or military veterans will set the stage on fire before we move on to the professional razzle-dazzle.
The main event? Hold onto your seats, because the former WBO junior lightweight world champion and US Marine, Jamel Herring, is lacing up his gloves after a year-long hiatus. He’ll be trading punches with the undefeated Nick Molina. If you can’t make it to the Edison Ballroom, no worries! The pro-fights, spotlighting Herring vs. Molina, will be streamed live exclusively on DAZN, starting at 8:00 PM ET. As for the amateur bouts, sanctioned by USA Boxing, they’re a special treat for those present in the arena.
The brains behind “Heroes On The Hudson,” Lou DiBella, President of DiBella Entertainment, couldn’t contain his excitement. “This night isn’t just about boxing. It’s a salute to our heroes. And who better to headline it than Jamel ‘Semper Fi’ Herring, our champ and proud Marine Veteran? Big thanks to our generous sponsors for making this night a reality,” DiBella remarked.
Securing your spot for this action-packed night is easy peasy! Tickets are available via Telecharge.com or just ring up (800) 447-7400. From lavish tables with sumptuous dinners to standing room only tickets, there’s something for every budget. And guess what? Every ticket comes with an open bar. Cheers to that!
Jared Kass, SVP North America, shared his thoughts. “Broadcasting an event that marries sport and charity is an honor. Jamel Herring is not just a boxer; he’s a story, and we can’t wait to bring that to our DAZN audience.”
Jamel Herring chimed in with enthusiasm, “While the ring’s allure was irresistible, this event’s charitable essence truly won me over. I aim to secure another world champion title, and this fight is just the beginning. Let’s do this!”
Chuck Thompson, WPSNY President, and Nate Boyer, Co-Founder of MVP, lauded the effort, emphasizing the significance of supporting America’s veterans, especially as Veterans Day draws near.
Closing the spotlight on fighters, Jamel “Semper Fi” Herring (23-4, 11 KOs) is making a comeback against Nick Molina (13-0, 5 KOs). Herring, originally from Rockville Centre, NY, and now settled in Cincinnati, OH, is not just a boxer. He’s a Marine, having served two tours in Iraq. On the other end of the spectrum, world-ranked bantamweight contender Mikiah Kreps (6-0, 3 KOs) will also showcase her skills in a 10-round bout.
Rounding off the fight card on DAZN will be heavyweight southpaw Roney Hines (12-0-1, 8 KOs) taking on Robert Hall Jr. (14-2, 11 KOs) and two-time world champion, Miyo Yoshida (16-3), clashing with Josefina Vega in a super flyweight battle.
