This Sunday, at the stroke of 9 p.m. Eastern Time, strap in for a pugilistic homage to valor as DiBella Entertainment rolls out the “Heroes on the Hudson” on SportsNet New York (SNY). This Broadway Boxing Veterans Day special, which first hit the airwaves via DAZN, throws a spotlight on the valiant warriors of the U.S. Armed Forces.
The 120th Broadway Boxing showcase packs a punch with the comeback of ex-WBO champ and proud Marine, Jamel Herring, as he trades blows with the fresh-faced Nick Molina.
On the undercard, IBF Bantamweight World Champion Miyo Yoshida clashed with Shurretta Metcalf in a 10-rounder for the vacant IBF Inter-Continental strap. The up-and-coming heavyweight Roney Hines staked his unbeaten streak against Jonathan Gruber, while super bantamweight Mikiah Kreps, under Jamel Herring’s wing, took on the seasoned Isis Vargas Perez.
The bash also did some good, chipping in a slice of its earnings to Merging Vets and Players and the West Point Society of New York.
