New York’s own undefeated fighter, Arnold Gonzalez (14-0, 6 KOs), will clash with Venezuela’s Esneiker Correa (15-4-1, 13 KOs). They are set to compete for the vacant WBA FEDECENTRO welterweight title in a thrilling 10-round fight.
Gonzalez, hailing from Harlem and aged 29, is set to headline his first televised event in New York, riding the momentum of a recent victory from a February Top Rank event. He aims to use this fight to transition from a promising prospect to a certified top-contender.
Arnold shared his preparation insights, “I’ve been training rigorously at high altitudes in Quito, Ecuador, my second home. We are geared up for this battle and are eyeing our second professional title. Expect us to make a striking impact on May 10th.”
The evening will also feature a compelling co-main event as Mikiah Kreps (7-0, 3 KOs), dubbed the Queen of Niagara Falls, prepares to battle New York’s Melissa Odessa Parker (6-2, 2 KOs) in an eight-round fight. Kreps aims to dazzle her supportive and vocal home crowd following her dominant performance against Carmarie Matos last October.
Mikiah expressed her enthusiasm, “The support from the fans is always electric. I am all set to deliver another spectacular performance and keep my unbeaten streak intact on the big night.”
