On December 29, the Prudential Center will morph into the ultimate boxing battleground for the inaugural Brick City Friday Night Fights. And guess who’s headlining? None other than the local slugger, Vito Mielnicki Jr.!

Mielnicki, the pride of Roseland, New Jersey, is not just a pretty face with a boxing glove. With a record of 16-1, including 11 knockouts, he’s practically a knockout artist. Remember that time he sent Alexis Salazar packing in just 2:27? Yeah, that was him. On December 29, he’s squaring off against Salim Larbi in a 10-rounder that’s got ‘epic night’ written all over it.

Vito’s pumped, and he’s not shy about it. “Fighting at the Prudential Center? Heck yeah!” he says. “Big shoutout to Al Haymon and Premier Boxing Champions for letting me show off in front of my peeps.”

And the Prudential Center’s big cheese, Dylan Wanagiel, is just as jazzed. “Teaming up with GH3 Promotions for this boxing bash? Absolute thrill!” he says. “We’re setting up a boxing buffet here – something for everyone. And having Vito as our main dish? Icing on the cake, baby!”

Mielnicki turned pro at 17 and has been collecting belts like they’re going out of style. WBA Continental Americas Super Welterweight Champion, WBC World Youth Champion – you name it, he’s probably won it. This guy’s on an eight-fight winning streak, and he’s not looking to hit the brakes anytime soon.

Salim Larbi, hailing from France, isn’t here for a vacation, though. With a record of 22-12-3, this guy’s got some moves. He’s got experience, he’s got the skills, and he’s here to give Mielnicki a run for his money.

But wait, there’s even more! The undercard’s packed with local heroes and international pugilists. Michael Anderson, Thomas “Cornflake” LaManna, and a host of others will be duking it out, making sure there’s never a dull moment.

This event’s got partnerships too – Greater Newark Convention & Visitor’s Bureau and Caribe Royale Orlando are in on it, making sure the world sees Newark’s finest in action.
