Split-T Management has inked a managerial contract with Elhem Mekhaled, the 32-year-old former Interim world champion hailing from Lyon, France.

With an impressive professional record of 16 victories and only 2 defeats, Mekhaled has proven her talent in the ring. Her knockout count stands at three, but it’s her passion and commitment that truly set her apart.

“I’m thrilled to sign with Split-T Management,” Mekhaled declared, her voice tinged with excitement. “They are a stellar management team with a roster that includes world champions like Teofimo Lopez. I’m eager for the great bouts and vast opportunities ahead. My aspirations reach beyond just world titles – I envision myself as an undisputed champion.”

The road to professional boxing wasn’t a straight path for Mekhaled. Her journey began at age 20, sparked by a chance encounter with a boxing coach at school. The sight of the ring ignited a fire within her, and she wanted to master what she calls “the sweet science.”

Her amateur career spanned 40 fights, and she even earned a spot on the Algerian National team. The professional leap happened on November 12, 2016, with a four-round unanimous decision over Jacinthe Berenguer, marking the start of a 15-win streak.

A highlight of her career came on March 16, 2019, when Mekhaled clinched the WBC Interim Super Featherweight title in Barcelona. The battle for the Undisputed 130-lb title at Madison Square Garden was a gritty fight against unified world champion Alycia Baumgardner. Though Mekhaled fought valiantly, she fell just short.

Her latest triumph was an eight-round unanimous decision over Yuliya Kutsenko on May 28th in France. The signing is a collaborative effort between Split-T Management’s Sarah Fina and Brian Cohen.

Currently training under Joseph Germain in Paris, Mekhaled’s eyes are set on the future.
