Skye Nicolson Targets WBC Featherweight Glory and Eyes Serrano Clash in Las Vegas Showdown

Skye Nicolson is ready to throw down over 12 three-minute rounds against Amanda Serrano if that’s what it takes to secure the fight. This Saturday, she’s aiming to dominate Sarah Mahfoud for the WBC Featherweight title at Bleaulive Theater, Las Vegas, streaming live on DAZN. Nicolson’s battle for the belt, left behind by Serrano in December, is against the formidable Danish fighter Mahfoud, not the initial target Serrano.

Tickets have hit the market, available through Ticketmaster.

Nicolson (9-0, 1 KO) is squaring off with Mahfoud (14-1, 3 KOs) for the vacated title. Despite her desire for a clash with Serrano, Nicolson is laser-focused on defeating Mahfoud impressively to stake her claim for the bigger fight. She asserts her readiness for Serrano, highlighting her preference for longer rounds but acknowledging the excitement two-minute rounds bring to women’s boxing.

Nicolson is confident her bout with Mahfoud won’t mirror Serrano’s point victory but end in a decisive win, potentially before reaching the distance. If it does go the full length, she anticipates a clear 100-90 scorecard in her favor.

The evening in Las Vegas will also feature other  fights, including a double-header with Richardson Hitchins vs. Gustavo Lemos and Diego Pacheco defending his titles against Shawn McCalman. British Olympic champion Galal Yafai, Marc Castro, Harley Mederos, and Steven Navarro are also on the card, promising a night of thrilling boxing action.
