Philadelphia’s own Christian Carto, the bantamweight bruiser, is set to light the fuse for King’s Promotions. He’s headlining against the seasoned warrior Ardin Diale in an eight-round showdown on January 12th at the swanky Live! Casino and Hotel in Philadelphia.

Carto, a local lad, boasts a record that’s shinier than a new penny – 20 wins, 13 by knockout. At 27, this eight-year ring veteran has danced around the canvas with the likes of Alonso Melendez and James Smith, and recently outfoxed Hector Andres Sosa in a unanimous decision that had the judges’ heads nodding more than a dashboard bobblehead.

Diale, hailing from the Philippines, comes with a suitcase full of experience and a record that’s long enough to wrap around the ring. With 35 wins, 17 by knockout, this 35-year-old pugilist has been throwing leather for 18 years. He’s tangled with a list of opponents who had more zeros in their records than a high school math book. Recently, though, he stumbled against Gary Tamayo, and he’s itching to jump back on the victory wagon.

In the welterweight rumble, Philly’s own Quadir Alright (9 wins, all by knockout) is set to trade punches with Virginia’s Adam Kipenga. This one’s shaping up to be more explosive than a Fourth of July fireworks display.

Then there’s Atif Oberlton, another Philly fighter, stepping into the light heavyweight ring with Cleotis Pendarvis. Oberlton’s record is as spotless as a freshly cleaned chalkboard, while Pendarvis brings a truckload of experience from Lancaster, CA.

In a clash of undefeated welterweights, Baltimore’s Ibrahim Robinson throws down with Renny Viamonte Mastrapa of Las Vegas. This six-round bout has more potential for fireworks than a New Year’s Eve party.

On the four-round front, we’ve got a mixed bag of fresh faces and gritty determination. Jaclyne McTamney of Southampton, PA, is set to duke it out with Cara McLaughlin of Cookstown, Northern Ireland, in a featherweight fight that promises more action than a Hollywood blockbuster.

Ismail Muhammad of Philly is playing the mystery game, waiting for an opponent brave enough to step into the welterweight ring with him.

Cornellio Phipps, fresh out of Oxford, PA, is making his pro debut against Darin Holliday Jr., another Philly fighter looking to turn his luck around.

And lastly, debutant light heavyweights Cody Russell and Ronald Trahan are all set for a four-round bout that’s sure to have more sparks than a live wire.
