Eye of the Tiger’s fresh face, Osleys Iglesias, sporting a flawless 9-0 with 8 KOs, is set to make a splash in Montreal, throwing down in a 12-rounder that spices up an already sizzling card this March 7. The super-middleweight IBO champ is eyeballing to dazzle the Quebec crowd, squaring off against Marcelo Coceres (32-6-1, 18 KOs), a tough nut to crack, at the glitzy Cabaret du Casino de Montreal. With the Quebec-Ontario tussle Butler-Rolls headlining, the entire shebang will hit the airwaves live at 7 p.m., courtesy of Punching Grace and ESPN+ stateside.

Hailing from Cuba with a southpaw stance, Iglesias, who’s perched at the 11th spot globally by BoxRec and 16th by the WBC in the 168 lb division, is gearing up to charm the Quebecois with his dynamite style. With a hefty 200 amateur fights under his belt, including notable wins over compatriots Arlen Lopez and David Morell, Iglesias turned pro in 2019 and has been steamrolling through the competition. His dance with Isaac Chilemba, a grueling 12-round affair, ended in a unanimous nod in his favor. Come March 7, Coceres will likely be digging deep to weather the storm against Iglesias, known for his knockout artistry.

Coceres, the Argentine slugger, packs a wealth of experience with 225 rounds to his name, towering over Iglesias’s 34. Having squared off with super-middleweight stalwarts like Billy Joe Saunders and Edgar Berlanga, Coceres, dubbed “El Terrible,” is no stranger to the limelight of championship brawls and enemy turf. With a height and reach advantage, he’s all set to give Iglesias a run for his money, aiming to hold off the Cuban powerhouse.

EOTTM’s head honcho, Camille Estephan, can barely contain his excitement, “Slapping another rip-roaring fight onto the March 7 card, already jam-packed with the Butler vs. Rolls clash and Vanessa Lepage-Joanisse gunning for the WBC world title, is a testament to Quebec’s magnetic pull for top-notch boxing talent. Iglesias locking horns with Coceres? You bet that’s going to set the crowd ablaze.”
