Opponent change for Albert Ramirez on January 25th In Montreal

On the 25th of January, in the glitzy battleground of the Casino de Montréal, the Eye of the Tiger’s second star-studded gala of the year is set to roll out the red carpet. In the spotlight, we have Erik Bazinyan (31-0, 22 KOs) squaring off against Billi Facundo Godoy (41-7, 20 KOs). They’re duking it out for the NABF and WBA Continental super-middleweight crowns.

Albert Ramirez (17-0, 15 KOs), who was originally gearing up to tangle with American Charles Foster, finds himself in a dance with a former EOTTM buddy, Artur Ziyatdinov (15-1, 12 KOs). Foster, unfortunately, had to bow out at the eleventh hour due to an injury – talk about bad timing!

Camille Estephan, the big boss at EOTTM, piped up, “Switching opponents is a bummer, but hey, that’s the fight game for you! We’re stoked that Artur Ziyatdinov stepped up to the plate. The local lad is a fan favorite here in Quebec, and he’s itching to shake things up against Ramirez. Albert better strap in because this one’s going to be a barn burner!”

2023 was a banner year for Albert Ramirez, who shot up the rankings faster than a rocket. He snagged the 4th spot in the WBA, 6th in the WBC, 7th in the WBO, and even made the top 10 cut in the Ring Magazine rankings. Now, he’s got the heat on him to wow the Quebec crowd. The Venezuelan light heavyweight’s got his work cut out for him against a technical boxer who’s slightly taller and just as hungry for a win.

Artur Ziyatdinov, no stranger to southpaws, is strapping on his gloves once more on January 25th. His knockout game is almost as scary as Ramirez’s. Even though he’s been off the radar since his last win in June, he’s still a force to be reckoned with. Ziyatdinov’s gunning for a big 2024, and toppling Ramirez would be the cherry on top.

Daniel Otter, the managing director of Three Lions Promotions, couldn’t help but chime in, “Big thanks to Camille and Eye of the Tiger for this golden ticket. Artur’s pumped and ready to turn the tables on the undefeated Ramirez. With the home crowd cheering him on in Montreal, this is going to be one for the books.”
