In an exciting new chapter of DiBella Entertainment’s Broadway Boxing series, “Heroes on the Hudson” is set to honor the indomitable spirit of the U.S. Armed Forces veterans. Leading the charge is world-ranked contender Mikiah Kreps, gunning to maintain her undefeated streak, as she faces Isis Vargas Perez in an eight-round super bantamweight contest. The setting? The dazzling Edison Ballroom in New York City.

Manny Robles, the renowned trainer, will join Kreps’ corner, flanked by her mother, Deborah Fields. Fields, also known as the “Knockout Nurse,” gave Kreps her first taste of boxing, inadvertently setting her on a path to greatness. Kreps’ amateur accolades include victories at the 2018 Elite National Championships, the 2017 Eastern Elite Qualifier, and 2014 National Golden Gloves. Now undefeated as a pro with a 6-0 record (3 KOs), Kreps takes immense pride in fighting under the “Heroes on the Hudson” banner, more so with Herring, a US Marine veteran, in the main event.
Kreps’ latest win came from a rapid first-round knockout against Luz Elena Martinez this May. In contrast, her upcoming opponent, Isis Vargas Perez, clinched an eight-round majority decision against Jacqueline Mucio Munoz last October. Perez also took on Yamileth Mercado for the WBC super bantamweight world title in April 2022.
Both fighters have voiced their enthusiasm for the bout, promising fans an electrifying showdown.
