Unfortunately, their initial fight, planned for September 8, hit a little detour. Pagan, the 23-year-old from Grand Rapids, boasts an untouched record of 8-0, with half of those being knockouts! This time, he’s eyeing his fifth victory for 2023 against Rodriguez, the Dominican with a record of 20-7 and 17 KOs under his belt. And if you need a little refresher, Pagan recently demonstrated his skill by putting down the previously undefeated Ronnell Burnett in June and silencing Gabriel Smith within the very first round in July. What a whirlwind!
Going a bit down memory lane, Pagan clinched the U.S. Amateur Welterweight National Championship in 2021 by getting a unanimous nod over Keon Davis. Riding that excitement wave, he turned pro in 2022, securing four solid wins. With each victory, he’s inching closer to that top-contender status.
