Isaac Lowe Joins Huge Lee Mcgregor Homecoming In Edinburgh

Isaac Lowe is the latest addition to the star-studded undercard for Lee McGregor’s highly anticipated world title fight, set for next month.

Live on Channel 5 and absolutely free-to-air on Friday, July 21, McGregor will face off against Mexico’s Erik Robles, vying for the vacant IBO world super bantamweight title. This massive event, orchestrated by Wasserman Boxing in collaboration with Ladbrokes, Numan, and Infinitum Entertainment, marks McGregor’s first fight in front of his home fans since turning pro five years ago.

Joining the evening’s stacked undercard, Lowe is gearing up to battle it out with Jonathan Santana in an explosive featherweight clash.

Unfortunately, a minor hiccup in training has compelled former world cruiserweight champion Mairis Briedis to withdraw from the Meadowbank Sports Centre event.

Nonetheless, fight night enthusiasts can still revel in the latest bout featuring the UK’s most formidable heavyweight contender, Matty Harris. Harris is gunning to be the first man to stop Kostyantin Dovbyshchenko in his tracks.

Witness Sultan Zaurbek, the world-ranked Kazakh boxer with 10 knockout wins under his belt, as he squares off against former European super featherweight champion, John Carter.

With more big names, up-and-coming talent, and local favorites to be announced in the coming days, McGregor’s monumental Edinburgh homecoming is an event you can’t afford to miss.

Lowe is confident about his upcoming bout: “This won’t just be a typical Isaac Lowe performance. I’m here to show people that I’m not just a fighter, but a good boxer as well. Everyone knows I have the heart of a lion, and while I love a good fight, there are many ways to win one. Fans can expect value for their money. There’s guaranteed entertainment in my fights. I’m far from finished, and I plan to put on a show the fans will remember.”

Despite the unfortunate setback, Briedis remains optimistic: “I was really looking forward to fighting in Edinburgh on July 21. Sadly, a small setback in training means I won’t be ready in time. But I can promise my fans that big fights are coming later this year. These bouts will not only put me back at the top of the sport but will also shine a spotlight on my beloved home country of Latvia.”
