DiBella Entertainment’s Broadway Boxing series kicked off in Philadelphia with an action-packed evening featuring five fights on April 18 at the 2300 Arena. The night showcased a mix of rising talent and intense competition, marking a significant event in the series.

The highlight of the evening was a heavyweight clash that ended in a draw after eight grueling rounds. George Arias and Skylar Lacy, both towering fighters, exchanged heavy blows and tactical moves. Arias took the early lead with aggressive inside combinations. However, Lacy leveraged his height, using jabs and strategic clinches to control the distance, thus slowing the fight to manage his rhythm. The judges scored the fight 77-75 in favor of Arias and 76-76 for the remaining two, reflecting the tight contest. Arias’ record now stands at 18-1-1, with Lacy’s at 8-0-2.

In another heavyweight bout, Roney Hines secured a unanimous decision victory against Robert Hall Jr. Utilizing a strong jab and powerful lefts, Hines dominated the fight, maintaining distance and delivering punishing blows. All judges scored the fight 79-73, advancing Hines’ undefeated record to 14-0-1.

With scores of 40-35 across the board, Davis extended his undefeated streak under the watchful eye of boxing legend Lennox Lewis.

Local talent Romuel Cruz maintained his unbeaten record with a TKO victory over Robin Ellis in a junior featherweight fight. The match was intense, with Cruz executing powerful hooks and combinations. A well-placed jab followed by a decisive right hand and uppercut combo in the fourth round led to Ellis’ corner stopping the fight, bringing Cruz’s record to 11-0-1.

Erron Peterson, another Philadelphia native, showcased his power in a middleweight fight, stopping Raheem Davis in the second round. Peterson’s relentless body shots and a final right cross sealed a rapid victory, improving his record to 6-0-1.
