This announcement comes with a promise of broadcasting some of the most thrilling boxing fights in recent history starting on Friday, May 3, at 8 PM ET/PT.
Initiating the Cinco De Mayo festivities, this series will debut on the exact date marking 21 years since Oscar De La Hoya’s fierce 2003 battle against Luis Ramon “Yori Boy” Campas. This launch is complemented by the iconic 2009 showdown between Manny Pacquiao and Ricky Hatton.
Viewers can look forward to revisiting other monumental fights such as Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Ricky Hatton (2007), Manny Pacquiao vs. Marco Antonio Barrera (2007), and Saul Alvarez vs. Josesito Lopez (2012), among weekly offerings.
Oscar De La Hoya highlighted the nostalgic value of the series, mentioning, “This era was a golden age for boxing, with legends like Pacquiao, Mayweather, and myself drawing fans worldwide. Now, fans new and old can experience these moments on ‘Friday Night Fights.’”
