Davies Vs Cunningham: How To Watch & Start Time

Liam Davies, a relatively reserved figure, is beginning to create waves in the boxing world. This native of Telford, already boasting a record of 13-0, has collected five championship belts to his name. He’s eyeing a sixth as he squares off against Jason Cunningham this Saturday, defending his British, European, and WBC International super bantamweight titles. Meanwhile, Cunningham is putting his WBO International title on the line.

At 27, Davies has added the English and WBC International Silver titles to his trophy cabinet. His journey to prominence in the professional boxing world over the past five years has been nothing short of impressive. Born into a lineage of boxers, with both his father and grandfather having worn the gloves, Davies is gradually ascending the ranks, drawing increasing attention.

Despite his impressive track record, Davies has yet to receive the broad recognition his accomplishments merit. He believes he might still have some way to go in proving skeptics wrong.

However, he doesn’t seem too perturbed by this. In fact, he uses this lack of acknowledgment as fuel for his motivation and has no immediate plans to chase the spotlight.

In an intimate and heartfelt interview on the Unibet Lowdown: One-on-One, set to premiere on the Queensberry YouTube Channel at 6 pm, Davies opens up about his life journey from childhood. He shares his inspirations, aspirations, his thoughts on future rivals, and his upcoming bout with Cunningham.

Davies reflects on those who doubt him, stating, “It does fuel me,” before revealing his perspective on success. He still sees himself as a humble individual, striving to make a mark and make all the sacrifices worthwhile. Fame isn’t a pursuit for him, but a little fortune wouldn’t hurt.

“When people who haven’t accomplished as much as I have are hyped more, I could definitely name a few,” Davies commented. He’s unbothered by this popularity contest, focusing instead on his continual wins and the inevitable recognition they’ll earn him.

His outlook is simple: he’s not trying to create a fabricated image on social media. He’d rather soak up the doubts and let his accomplishments speak for themselves. “I believe I will come out good,” he says confidently. As long as the ones who matter most to him are proud, he can sleep well at night.

A limited number of tickets are still available for the highly anticipated showdown between Liam Davies and Jason Cunningham on Saturday, 29th July at the Telford International Centre, available at ticketmaster.co.uk.
