Canadian middleweight title set for March 30th

On March 30th, the Canadian middleweight crown is up for grabs! Three Lions Promotions is kicking off 2024 with a bang, showcasing a clash of Canadian titans, Antonio Napolitano (8-0-1, 4KOs) from St. Catharines, ON, and Ryan Young (15-5-0, 11KOs) from Oakville, ON. They’re squaring up for 10 rounds of fistic fireworks for the NCC Canadian Middleweight title, turning The Hamilton Convention Centre in Hamilton, ON into a battleground.

This bout is the classic tale of the up-and-comer vs. the seasoned warrior. Young, seasoned with more battles than Napolitano and carrying an extra 8 years of wisdom (or wear and tear, depending on who you ask), has a resume sparkling with title fights, including stints with the WBA NABA and WBO NABO, not to mention a dance with the NCC Canadian title. Napolitano, on the flip side, has been on a tear lately, sweeping his last three fights and delivering a third-round KO punch in his latest rumble. His 2022 showdown with the grizzled ring general Brandon Brewer (27-3-2, 11Kos) for the WBC USNBC title ended in a nail-biting split decision draw.

Daniel Otter, the mastermind behind Three Lions Promotions, can’t contain his excitement. “This fight’s a coin toss. Napolitano’s unbeaten streak is on the line, and Young’s looking to prove he’s not just yesterday’s news. With the Canadian title as the prize, expect fireworks in the ring!”

The undercard’s not short on thrills either. Undefeated super middleweight Canadian champ John Michael Bianco (7-0-0, 3Kos) of Etobicoke, ON, will duke it out with Latvia’s Kristaps Bulmeistars (11-2-0, 5Kos). Also stepping into the ring are former WBC World Youth lightweight champion Pedro Bernal (13-1-2, 4Kos) from Mexico, Nova Scotia’s own Brett Beaton (5-1-0, 4Kos), and Canadian female super welterweight sensation Carolyn Redmond (6-2-0, 3 KOs), all facing opponents yet to be announced. Plus, a Canadian showdown featuring Jake Daoust (5-2-0, 3Kos) of Hamilton, ON and Ottawa’s Roody Renne (3-7-1). Fans from around the globe can catch all the action live on 3LPTV, starting at 7:00 PM EST.
