Boxlab Promotions is buzzing with excitement, having snagged the undefeated heavyweight sensation Dainier “The Fear” Pero.

This guy, Pero, was no slouch in the amateur scene, bagging the AIBA Youth World Boxing Championship in 2016, strutting his stuff at the 2018 Teofilo Stevenson Cup, and clinching the Cuban National Championship not once, but twice, in 2018 and 2019. He even donned the Cuban colors at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, nabbing a win in his opening fight before getting tangled in a controversial loss to the eventual Silver Medalist, Richard Torrez Jr.

Standing tall at 6’5, this 24-year-old powerhouse turned pro in 2022 and has already chalked up a record of 5-0, with 3 of those wins by knockout. He’s now set up camp in Las Vegas, NV, honing his skills under the eagle eye of Sports Illustrated and Ring Magazine’s Trainer of the Year, Bob Santos.

“Leaving Cuba with barely a nickel to my name and now signing with Amaury Piedra and Boxlab Promotions? That’s my slice of the American Dream,” Pero quipped. “And having Bob Santos, the Trainer of the Year, in my corner? That’s the cherry on top!”

Santos, a trainer to a host of world champs and rising stars, considers Pero as one of the brightest talents he’s ever trained.

“In my three decades of navigating the boxing world, Dainier Pero stands out like a diamond in the rough. This kid is boxing gold,” Santos enthused. “He’s on a fast track to shake up the heavyweight division, and I’m all in for this roller coaster ride to the top.”

“Boxlab Promotions is thrilled to pieces to tie the knot with Dainier Pero in a long-term promotional deal,” declared Amaury Piedra. “Dainier’s journey from a Cuban amateur prodigy to a pro ring dazzler in his first five fights is nothing short of spectacular. We’re over the moon to team up with him and Bob Santos, the mastermind trainer. ‘The Fear,’ with his rare mix of brawn, speed, power, and stamina, is set to turn the heavyweight division on its head. We’re planning to keep him on his toes through the next year as he polishes his arsenal and climbs the ranks.”
