With all above said, it was a big surprise for me to see many antisemitic reposts and likes on X (Twitter) from Amer Abdallah and Badou Jack, guys, what are we doing? Reposting and liking content is one thing, but cherry-picking from individuals whose reputations are, let’s say, a tad tarnished by racist and antisemitic jew hating remarks?
Amer Abdallah reposted a tweet from Jake Shields that falsely claimed Israel had caused the death of 39 newborns by cutting off their oxygen. This claim was corrected as the Palestinian Health Ministry clarified that the babies were at risk, not dead, and the initial claim was a misstatement by Minister Mai al-Kaila, which was promptly rectified by the Health Ministry. This incident underscores the importance of verifying information before sharing it on social media to prevent the spread of misinformation.
In addition to Amer Abdallah’s repost, Badou Jack also shared a controversial tweet from Tam Khan, which used strong and provocative language to criticize Israel, referring to it as a “terrorist, child killing regime” and comparing the situation to a “modern-day holocaust by the modern-day Hitler.” This post, represents a significant and sensitive political statement that has the potential to evoke strong reactions from various audiences.
