Angelo Leo Vs Mike Plania headlines WNF in Plant City on January 31

Former ruler of the super bantamweight kingdom, Angelo Leo, is set to tussle with MIke Plania in a ten-round featherweight bout, all happening live and only on ProBox TV. Leo, a 29-year-old Las Vegas native, snatched the WBO super bantamweight crown just four skirmishes ago, trouncing Tramaine Williams in Connecticut. Despite a stumble against Stephen Fulton, Leo’s bounced back, hopping up a division after decking Nicolas Polanco last November.

Plania, 26, hailing from General Santos City, is fresh off a first-round knockout triumph in his homeland this past December. But let’s not forget, his last U.S. escapade ended in a stoppage defeat, courtesy of Ra’eese Aleem’s fists in Los Angeles.

There’s a juicy undercard too. Christopher Pearson is set to clash with Trevor McCumby in a ten-round super middleweight duel. Pearson, once the darling of an upset victory, now finds himself winless in two fights. Meanwhile, McCumby, an undefeated Arizona native, is looking to extend his victory streak in the Sunshine State.

And there’s more melee to marvel at. Romero Duno and Antonio Moran will duke it out over ten rounds at lightweight. To kick things off, promising super featherweight Mykell Gamble faces the tough Mexican, Damian Alcala.

Adding to the excitement, WNF brings bilingual commentary with ex-world champs Paulie Malignaggi, Chris Algieri, and Juan Manuel Marquez dissecting every punch
