Sam Maxwell and Alejandro Meneses collided to produce one of the fights of the year at Probellum Liverpool. 

The IBO world super lightweight title was on the line at the M&S Bank Arena and the rivals dished out brutal punishment on each other in pursuit of the belt.

Maxwell and Meneses’ humdinger came hot on the heels of another remarkable fight in March between Troy Williamson and Mason Cartwright.

At Probellum Throwdown in Newcastle, Williamson had to get up off the canvas to defend his British super welterweight title in fight which thrilled the North East fans.
