Savannah Marshall reflected upon finally becoming undisputed champion with victory over Franchon Crews-Dezurn as well as a possible rematch with Claressa Shields.

“Have all or nothing.”

These were the words Savannah Marshall used to describe her journey into the boxing ring. Coming from nothing, she was determined to leave with it all.

“I’ve trained for this since I turned pro… finally, I’ve got the goods.”

When Marshall heard her name followed by ‘Undisputed’, she couldn’t believe it. It was a moment of pure victory, an affirmation of all her hard work and training since her early days. She expressed the relief of finally reaching her goal, describing it as an unbelievable scene.

The Hard Fought Battle

“Cruz-Dezurnwas  really tough. She got hit with some big shots, and she kept coming.”

Marshall praised her opponent for the challenging fight, admitting the match at times turned into a wrestling bout. She acknowledged her opponent’s strength and determination. Despite the physicality and challenging situations, Marshall kept her composure and strategy, showing her true strength and skill as a boxer.

“After losing to Claressa Shields, there was a point where I thought I might not carry on… I wanted to be the best in the world, that’s all I wanted.”
