English and French broadcast live on Punching Grace as of 7:30 pm
The next edition of the COMMANDO formula presented live on Punching Grace featuring Steven Butler and Sadriddin Akhmedov will be one day earlier than initially planned. This exciting boxing card will therefore take place on January 29 as of 7:30 p.m. Boxing fans will have to wait a day less before seeing the great return of Steven “Bang Bang” Butler (28-2-1, 24 KOs) against Jose de Jesus Macias (27-10-3, 13 K.-O.). They will battle it out for the WBC Francophone, NABF and NABA middleweight titles in a battle that promises to be fierce given the aggressive style of the two boxers. Macias is a warrior from Mexico who is known to be a spoiler. Quebec boxing fans remember him as the last to defeat Francis “The people’s champ” Lafrenière (20-7-2, 11 KOs) and as the one who brought a hell of a fight to Mikael Zewski. (34-2-0, 23 K.-O.).
“We made the decision to have our show one day early in order to allow boxing fans not to miss a second of the action and thus experience all the emotions generated by our Commando formula. In addition, Punching Grace subscribers will, for the first time, be able to choose between a French or English broadcast of our event,” says EOTTM President Camille Estephan.
Sadriddin Akhmedov (11, -0-0, 10 KOs) will face his biggest career test against Stephen Danyo (17-3-3, 6 KOs) as the co-main event of the evening. The Eye of the Tiger Management team believes the time has come to increase the level of adversity of their young prodigy. Stephen Danyo is a very skilled and dangerous boxer. He is the current WBA Continental Super Welterweight Champion and delivered quite a performance against Custio Clayton (18-0-1, 12 KOs). Akhmedov will therefore have to offer a flawless performance to maintain his immaculate record and hope to bring back the WBA Continental, WBC Francophone and NABF titles to Quebec.
This boxing gala presented by La Queen beer and Mise-O-Jeu will also include the fourth professional fight of powerful boxer, Leila Beaudoin (3-0-0, 1 K.-O.). This will be her second visit to Mexico in the space of a few months where she has put on an excellent performance to record her first career knockout on November 7. She will move to a new stage, she goes in to dispute her first six round bout against Maria Guadalupe Esquivel Zamora (4-16-1). Additionally, Punching Grace subscribers will witness the professional debut of flamboyant Montreal boxer Christopher Guerrero (professional debut). Mike Moffa’s young protégé is a former member of Canada’s national team who intends to wow spectators as he takes on a boxer more experienced than him in Armando Morales Gutierrez (1-1-0, 1 K.-O.). These duels will be broadcast live on Punching Grace with the new COMMANDO format, on Saturday January 29, 2021. Punching Grace subscribers will have the opportunity to choose between an English and French broadcast of the live event. For more information, visit www.eottm.com and www.punchinggrace.com.
