Claggett (36-7-2, 25 KOs), a veteran of 15 years and undefeated since 2021, is making waves with a 3-0 record in 2023, including two stoppages. He clinched the NABF title in June, stopping former world champ Alberto Machado in the third round, and later outboxed Carlos Sanchez in September. Madueno (30-1, 28 KOs) is riding high on a knockout spree, having floored his last three opponents following a decision loss to Jezreel Corrales last November.
Butler (32-4-1, 26 KOs), a Montreal native, is jumping back into the ring post a knockout loss to WBO middleweight king Janibek Alimkhanuly in May. Pre-Janibek, Butler was on a Canadian winning streak, securing four consecutive wins. Facing him is Alvarez (32-14-4, 21 KOs), a 14-year pro, fresh off a unanimous win against Damian Sosa.
