Boxing Hall Of Fame Releases Fall 2022 Letter Of Appeal Seeking Fundraising Support

The International Boxing Hall of Fame continues to recover from the financial impact of the COVID-19 pandemic years.

Following the cancellation of all on-site events in 2020 and 2021, including the Annual Hall of Fame Weekend, the Hall was able to host a Trilogy Induction Weekend this past June honoring the Classes of 2020, 2021 and 2022 that provided all three classes with their day in the sun.

It was a “once in a lifetime” celebration but a daunting task with substantial and unique monetary and logistical challenges considering the size and scope of an induction weekend like no other.

As the Hall of Fame continues to recover financially from the pandemic years, we are more committed than ever to preserve boxing’s rich history for future generations.

With that in mind, the Hall of Fame is releasing a fall letter of appeal to our friends and supporters in the boxing community to consider making a donation during the most challenging time in the Museum’s history. The much needed contributions will allow the Hall of Fame to maintain its mission to honor and celebrate the sport.

“We’re thankful for the generosity of those who worked the Hall of Fame’s corner in 2020 and 2021 to keep the magic alive,” said Hall of Fame Executive Director Edward Brophy.

“With the support of those who love the worldwide sport of boxing, we know that we will be able to keep throwing combinations to win this fight,” continued Brophy.

Donations can be made via check or money order made payable to International Boxing Hall of Fame, phone order with a charge card (V/MC/DISCOVER/AMEX) or via PayPal on the Hall of Fame’s official website

A not-for-profit organization, the International Boxing Hall of Fame opened to the public in 1989 in Canastota, New York and is located at Exit 34 of the New York State Thruway. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
